Technology is wonderful if you can use it…

Using technology can be an awesome experience. However, when technology is not user friendly it often find its way to the trash. Here are two simple tools I use to be more productive and make life easier. If you have not tried them then take a moment and visit the links. Also, below is a humorous way of making that from ABC’s Modern Family.
Miro: For all my podcasting needs.
Aerofoil: More laptop battery power by reducing graphics drain.

Grindin: To work hard.
Hustlin: Havin the ambition and drive to do everything and anything to make mad money.
Steppin up my game: ability; skillz; will to do something.
Yes, these words are missing a few g’s, but you get the point. Two smartphones, several MickyD’s dinners, and dozens of hotels stays later I’m back. The plan was not to stay out of touch for so long, but the life can be that way. In honor of my return to the internet…Here is something you might like:

Long-term Decisions deserve some thought.
Posted in: Leadership & Management, Lifestyle | Comments Off
People tend to focus on the short-term and making choices from the short-term perspective has hidden opportunity cost for the long-term possibilities. Here are some thoughts on making long-term decisions.
-Does this decision conflict with my dominant personality?
If something competes with your inner compass the results will surely be diminished due to the excess energy used to keep yourself committed. Remember when you want to get that great deal on Black Friday and every year you sleep until 10:00 a.m. Why? Your not a morning person and a $900 dollar 60-inch plasma will not make a difference. Now when you go to buy it later it is going to cost twice as much.

Work Binge…1
Posted in: Uncategorized | Comments Off
Rather than say I been away, lets just say I have been “working”. Over the last few weeks I have been transitioning to a private practice. This means no more “shingle”. The formal announcement will come soon (over at YourMoneyFriends.com), but as a blog reader I always try to let you know first. Thanks, for your continued support while I have been privatizing the business. AlvionTV.com is on NEXT!!!

SEO Binge Part 1 – Printcasting

This is part of a series on “SEO Binge”
What starts out as a few tweaks can often become an overhaul. How many times as a webmaster have you said I will just make a few changes? This post while not the full set of changes will cover the distribution of content. I thought my RSS feed would be all I needed for content distribution. I realized the adoption of this technology is around the low teens. I know I was getting visits to my sites but even with flashing lights I was not getting subscribers. Then my next thought was move to a newsletter format. I found this redundant and started looking for other options.

Why I use my real identity?
Posted in: Marketing | Comments Off
Matthew Bredel was kind enough to tweet me. Thank You, Sir! I am nowhere near his level online and appreciate the response. Fact is his videos have reinforced a some things and I enjoy people who can simplify online marketing. I wanted my handful of internetz watchers to know this is really me behind the scenes. Matthew does a great explanation why using your real identity is important.

Printcasting is the Future
Posted in: Technology | Comments (1)
Technology and the endeavors of AJH Worldwide have been taking more time than usual. One piece of technology that deserves the spotlight is the new integration of Printcasting. Mocha and I have been overhauling the content network and trying to optimize things and eliminate others. You may have noticed the new button on the sidebar featuring it. Printcasting technology is pretty cutting edge. I will be taking more time in the future to analyze the site and the technology itself. I consider these type of technology improvements an important step to mature AlvionTV.com.
