Recently, I attended a workshop that focused on the economy. As if we all haven’t heard the SKY IS FALLING. Actually, it appears to be the stock market is falling. Centuries of history prove the survivors of these times enjoy uncommon prosperity as a result of the choices they make when all hope seems to be gone. The workshop focused on the upside potential that exist right now. The most important example is that for 90% people their personal economics have not changed.
So here goes my bold prediction: YOU WILL SURVIVE THIS AND THRIVE! Even the scholars are having a hard time rationalizing the current economy, but they too agree that the sky is not falling. If anything the storm appears to be passing. Yes, there is collateral damage, but we can rebuild. I had to turn off CNBC and turn up the volume on my inner voice for a reminder of what I am thankful for. I love being a financial professional…When you are helping people the rewards go beyond the wallet, they go to the heart. A majority of our responsibility is fiduciary and we know the account balance may be down. More that watching the balances we are hear to give perspective. So once again – YOU WILL SURVIVE THIS AND THRIVE!
