You can’t choose when its your time

Recently, a famous actress died from a fall while skiing. Can’t we all point to examples when it seems life is cut short. When serving clients we plan for life the day after your death. We must answer tough questions and make plans for that uncertain future. Take the time to ask these tough questions because once you are gone it is too late. In addition, if you need help walking through this process please give the office a call so we can help.

Encouragement is an investment you can’t pass up

“Go get ‘em tiger” or “If at first you don’t succeed try try again” sometimes is all you need for a pick me up. Our country’s economic condition has made encouragement even more valuable. Usually, we need a reason to encourage someone. Encouragement is free and unlimited in supply. If you are an encouragement supplier with no production cost your return on investment is infinity. One of the best investments you can make is be encouraging whenever possible. Next time you receive encouragement in a passive way take a second to let it grow and provide an infinite ROI.

Lessons from a 7 year old

Dreaming is free when your seven years old. There is no cost, you have unlimited credit, and the return on investment is infinity. It is sad that a seven year old had to remind me of these facts. So next time your creative money juices take over let them run wild. The cost of not dreaming could be losing a life changing money thought.

Money & Food on Oprah.

It may be uncommon for a manly man to admit he watches Oprah. A guest on the show spoke about the virtues of cooking at home versus going out. The use of leftovers can be the secret weapon to savings in your food budget. Leftovers in my house go slowly because I like variety. So I tend to cook new food and try hard to mix in left overs. The guest on the show was a pro that turned a few days of leftovers into amazing no cost dishes.

I love the Sunshine

Spring forward..fall back…to sleep…it was difficult to get up this morning.  And because I don’t drink coffee only the bright sunshine forced me out of my slumber.  Daylight savings time makes life easier for me.  I get some extra daylight and you know the winter snow will soon be gone.  Living in Colorado has its benefits, but I will take sun over snow any day.  Superman recharged his super powers using the sun.  I would definitely say the winter blues remind of Kryptonite.  Long live sunshine.
